Helen

Ko, MPT

Helen is passionate about working with the geriatric and neurological population and is an active member of the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia. After receiving her Masters of Physical therapy degree in 2010, she began working at Vancouver General Hospital floating on the different wards and at G.F. Strong. She then joined the VCH Residential Practice team and consulted on activity programs and treated clients living in long-term care facilities. She is currently based in the community seeing clients in their own homes and works closely with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, RN, SW and a NP. She enjoys helping her clients set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely) goals and achieve them through am individually tailored treatment plan that meets their needs.

Helen is a long-term resident of Vancouver and enjoys racing with her dragon boat team, playing volleyball and exploring the great outdoors.  When she gets a chance, she also loves traveling and learning about different cultures. Helen is fluent in English, Cantonese and French and is able to converse in basic Mandarin and Spanish.
